Qi Gong: Cultivating Harmony

Qi Gong: Cultivating Harmony

In the flowing movement forms of Qi Gong, we restore our connection to ourselves, nature, and the unseen support of all life. These pleasurable longevity practices improve our vitality, balance and strength.

Feldenkrais® Functional Fitness

In Awareness Through Movement® classes we explore the internal organization necessary for balanced and powerful action. Lessons are designed to improve how we breathe, reach, push, lift, sit, stand, and walk.

Bones For Life®

BFL® is a program for stimulating bone strength through weight bearing postures. Using springy, rhythmic movements we create vibratory pressures that engage our entire skeleton, promoting bone health, upright carriage and balance.

Core Walking

Core Walking

A well-organized gait is our best exercise. Yet often we develop poor walking habits that overly stress our joints. In Core Walking we learn to engage our spinal motion and core musculature to produce a springy, effortless gait.

Restorative Rhythms

Restorative Rhythms
In Restorative Rhythms, we use gentle movement, breathing, and postures for restoring our nervous system balance. We gain a palette of supportive tools for decreasing stress, improving sleep, and cultivating inner peace.

Balance

Balance

Our balance is needing refinement everyday. As we play with novel balance challenges, we can continually update our balance skills. Balance activities improve our coordination, brighten our mind, and prevent falls.

Nourish yourself with the joy of movement.

Karen guides you to move using whole-body awareness.
When you move from an inner sense of yourself, you naturally feel better and brighter with each class.

Testimonial:

“My experience in Bones for Life classes has been life changing for me. To have the awareness of how my skeleton moves and supports my core strength has changed how I sit, walk, and lift. I am forever grateful to Karen Swift for her guidance and facilitation of these Feldenkrais classes.”
